Thank you for your note. I did try the setup & much more. It has been confirmed that it is a hardware fault on the internet port in the router. I will be exchanging the router for a new one.
Best Regards

Additional Notes:
The PC is able to connect to rotuer just fine. However, running the initial setup again after a factory reset gives the following error - 'Please check if ethernet cable is connected'.
As stated earlier, the ethernet cable works just fine if it is connected to the PC directly,
Any troubleshooting or fix suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

There is nothing wrong with your Router. the Broadband ISP (ACT) connection which you are using is confugured with your Laptop/cpmputer Mac Address. your router also has a Mac Address which needs to be configured at the service proverder's end.
You are not getting internet connection in your router because it is not being recognised as the registered device to the ISP(ACT).
This would be same if you try to connect a different laptop/computer to the RJ45 wire which ACT has provided.
To resolve this problem, you have to call your ISP guy to reconfigure the connection by releasing the Mac Address at their end.
Then, you can connect your router to the RJ45 cable and connect your computer/laptop/mobile/tablet through your router.

Hi Prakman
The router had an option where i could configure it to use the PC's mac address. However, it still did not work.
