Login refused by R6400V2 after firmware upgrade.
Hi all,
this is not a new one, I think.
After updgrading to 1.0.4.128 I can't log into the router (connection refused by router: tried ip address and www.routerlogin.net and several browsers).
Resetting (power and button) didn't help. Internet connection is good (wired and wireless). Nighthawk app on the phone works fine and has access.
Searched the net for help and tried all the bells and wistles.
Tried downgrading with tftp and the windows app but both failed.
At least 3 things are different in my case:
1. The R6400 lights behave different then described on the Netgear site (nothing flashing unless I missed pushing some undocumented button).
2.My router takes care of dhcp and I can't change that (so setting static IP was not possible).
3. Finally my zenbook has no RJ45 but uses a USB2Gigabit converter.
I guess I should be lucky that my phone can still ask my router to check for updates.
But for now I am done. Seems to be that some ports are not opened (has happend before?)
If any of you has some other suggestions feel free to share.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

- GrubLeoAspirantHi, thxs for the suggestion.
Answer: no factory reset.
As I didn't see this issue coming I didn't make a backup just before upgrading.
Drawback of the reset is I have redo all setting.
Nothing in the release notes of this update btw suggested a factory reset.
I'll check your link.I recommend after you reset and setup from scratch, make a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed:
