Model #R6400 and modem compatibility
My ISP just installed my 1gb fiber internet connection using an AdTran modem model #1287405F1
Previously with my old connection and modem I used a Netgear AC1750 Smart WiFi Router model #R6400
But now when I'm connected to the AdTran modem through the router I can no longer sign in to the router homepage. It just redirects to Netgear's website no matter what method I use. However if I disconnect from the modem and ONLY plug into the router, I can log in to it normally. Is there some compatibility issue here? Adtran's customer support system is all but completely unused and useless.

This seems to be a continuation of this saga:
Unable to access router login - NETGEAR Communities
I see no evidence that you followed up some of the suggestions made there. Nor did we ever get to the bottom of this magic box on the wall.

When reusing a router, you need to factory reset the thing and set it up from scratch.

What "website" is that?

I very much doubt that there is a compatibility issue. It sounds like there is a configuration issue between the router and this "modem".
We still don't know what that box does. Sadly, no one here can deal with the shortcomings of the Adtran customer support system. Go back and ask them how you are supposed to set up a router to work with their hardware.
Then there is this:
Search - NETGEAR Communities – Adtran

I clearly said in my original post that the router has been factory reset.
I also linked the website it redirects to IN that same post.
I HAVE posted on their support forum but it seems totally moot.
You mentioned me being able to log in to the 'modem' implies it's a router, but I never once said I was able to log in to it. So I don't know where you got that from.
There's no useful information in the link you posted.
I don't know how else to stress that this magic box is my modem.

That was a completely different discussion that you did not link to, or even mention, in your first message in this conversation.
You cannot expect people to dash all over the place in search of your older messages. Hence my warning.
