n300 wnr2000v5 wifi router firmware latest version

This is just a general question regarding account security. I signed into my router account: router login.com and the url said 'not secure - router login.com'.

I'm not sure if I should do something to secure the site, and if yes; what?

Or if this is the usual i.e normal; why?

Why is the site not secured?

Can anyone offer any explanation for this.

Thanks

  • Most browsers desire the use of HTTPS instead of HTTP. Thus they will display a warning message.

Most older and current router web page use HTTP. Newer generation routers have the option of enabling HTTPS all the time. If your the only one accessing the router and using it's web page, HTTP is normal and fine to use.
