Recently, a houseguest pushed the wifi button on my N600 WNDR3700. Now the router is seemingly unable to find my modem. I'm able to log into the router both wirelessly and via ethernet cable. I'm als...

As mentioned earlier, I'd try reset to factory default, then set up the router again.

Well, I hate to re-hash this, but I'm not sure this solution is going to be a total fix. Tonight my fiancee spilled water near the power strip for the router, and as a percaution, I unplugged it (turns out, there wasn't any water near it). When I turned everything back on, this same thing was happening. The modem could connect fine, and I could connect directly to it and browse, but via the router, the internet light was orange, and the router firmware said I had no internet connection. I was already on the latest firmware, so I couldn't update it. I was able to just update it with the same version, but this is not a reasonable solution every time I accidentally (or purposefully) power cycle my equipment.
What did my houseguest pushing the wifi button do and how I can undo it?

WiFi button? You meant WPS button by any chance? If indeed it is WPS button wireless settings can change when pushed.

I wasn't there when he did it, but I believe that's correct, that it was the WPS button. When you say "wireless settings can change," what does that mean? Change in some known way?
