N600 WNDR3400v2 wireless not working but ethernet does?

So I have had this n600 router for a couple of years. I have only recent just had this problem. The wireless internet is discoverable by all my devices but nothing will connect to it. I updated all firmware reset both my modem and router, restarted my computer, restarted my wireless devices on my computer. Basically did everything i could think of but nothing is allowing me to connect wirelessly to the internet. The only way I am able to connect to the internet via the router is through ethernet ports. Is the router screwed or am i doing something wrong?

  • ElaineM,

Yes, I did reset the router and it seems to be working.

    Thank you!

    Hi Gamebuster

    Welcome to the community!

Have you tried changing the channel on the router?

Which signal you're trying to connect (2.4GHz or 5GHz)?

By the way, since you updated the firmware did you reset the router?

If not, kindly reset it by pushing the reset button at the back of it for 10 seconds by using a paperclip.

Once done, you will then have to reconfigure the router settings to get the Internet connection back.

After configuring the router, see if your wireless devices will now be able to connect to the router.

To reconfigure the router, you may want to follow the instructions here.

  • Wondering if you figured out a solution to this?  I am having the exact same issue with my router.
