Netgear AC1200 router power green blinking

Hello all,

Why I realise the problem at first was my discord channel suddenly showed "no route", so I went to check my AC1200 router and found out that the power light is blinking green. I tried turning it on/off and using the nighthawk app to reboot the router but was not working, the app can't find my router and my phone can't find my wifi either. Then, I saw that in the app, there was a router update so I pressed "check for updates", but in the middle, the app again popped out the sign of telling me to reconnect my router and I think I turned off the router at that time (I don't know did I worsen the situation 😞 ) although the app later said I successfully updated version, I still got the flashing green light. I also tried the reset method (pressing the reset button for 30 seconds), but no response. Then, I keep holding the reset button, turn off and turn on the router again, now the power light and ethernet port light both start blinking.

I also tried the TFTP method, so I followed the step from here: https://kb.netgear.com/000059633/How-do-I-upload-firmware-to-my-NETGEAR-router-using-a-TFTP-client-on-Microsoft-Windows

I disabled my wifi (I was using my phone data) before I started the procedures. But in step 10, my power light never turned orange it just kept flashing green. It was also not working, the tftpd64 either no response showing "block#0" or saying "cannot send data packet.l Tftp server may have been stopped error code: 10065 (a socket operation was attempted to an unreachable host)" after I pressed put.

I also tried to use the TFTP from the windows command prompt from here: https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-do-I-upload-firmware-to-my-NETGEAR-router-using-TFTP-from-the-Microsoft-Windows-Command-Prompt

but I stuck in step 5d 🙂 attached with the screenshot of the cmd (this is my first time using cmd...)

Can anyone please help?  Thanks a lot!

What model is this router? AC1200 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AC tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.

Look at the label on the device for the model number.

TFTP is  not an easy process to get right. You may have to try it several times.
