Netgear AC1750 (R6400) Has Lots of Lagging Issues
Hi All,
My Netgear AC1750 (R6400) Router has all kinds of lagging issues when streaming. I have turned off everything that I think might interfere with data transmission. The receiver is about 35 feet away from the transmitter and has to pas through 4-5 walls.
Is that asking too much of this router? Does anyone have any troubleshooting ideas? I searched the net and tried some things, but nothing has worked well. The lagging is not consistent -- sometimes it can be really bad and other times not so bad. There is a gamer in the house, too, so it is possible that 1 gamer and 1 streamer can be operating at the same time.

The firmware version is... V1.0.1.78_1.0.50
What actual speed do you get in that location from the router?
I took five measurements from Fast (.com?) and they were 70, 130, 110, 120, 130 Mb/s (I think my units are right, anyway).
I just turned off 2.4 GHz and tested the router running only on 5 GHz, and it lagged and then froze for a good 30s, at which time I reset it. A person was gaming at the same time as I took the measurements and the streaming froze.
Is it only the one tv?
What modem/gateway is the router connected to?
