Netgear R6220 AC-1200 WAN 10M/Full - problem with autonegotiation
Hi, so shortly saying its look like my Router WAN port is autonegotiating to 10 Mbps when i have 100 Mbps from ISP.
I've checked many different cables, made firmware upgrade to V1.1.0.114_1.0.1, done some resets...and still the same.
When I connect PC direct to the modem I've got 100Mbps on the same cables (speed test). The PC connected to the router through LAN or Wi-fi get only 10Mbps on speed test and the Router WAN port in port status got 10M/Full - so it is definitely the reason of low speed.
Is it possible to set the WAN port to 100Mbps manually? I don't see that option in my router menu.
The modem is Cisco EPC308. Is it possible that that two specific models don't like each other and they cannot establish proper port speed during atonegotiation?

Try testing the router at a different location, like a neighbor, friend or families place and see if the problem follows or not. Would be telling.
If you have a non managed LAN switch, you could do a quick test with the routers WAN port connected to this switch with out anything else connected to the switch and see if the WAN port changes speed.
CAT5E should work however try CAT6 as well.
There is no setting to change. The WAN port auto detects speeds connected to a modem or ONT.
