Netgear R6400 network won't show up for certain devices

R6400/AC1750 network will show up for most devices cell phones, laptops, gaming consoles etc but when attempting to find the network while setting up devices like a RING doorbell or Amazon Alexa or wifi extender the network will not show up as available.  We have tried resetting, changing the channel to one that is 1-11 but still will not work.  Appreciate the help!

  • Hi JRDG3,

    1. What is the firmware version of the router?

    2. Can those devices detect other wireless networks within the area?

    3. Have you tried re-flashing the router firmware?

    4. When setting up those devices, are they close enough for them to detect the WiFi?

    Regards,
