My firmware it out of date. I have downloaded the Nighthawk app which asked me to update the firmware via routerlogin.net. I cannot login to the site as it doesn’t accept the default user name and password. What should I do?
what probably will work is to do a hard reset of the router by depressing the reset button with a paper clip until the lights change. that will reset to factory defaults. if you have a computer where you can type in a URL, you can then enter 192.168.1.1 to log in - or use the nighthawk app. You'll need to change the default password, possibly other settings, but you can then use the "check for firmware update" option under advanced settings.

- estamaiAspirantThank you. I was able to reset the user name and password using Chrome (I was not aware I couldn’t do so using Safari), things worked smoothly after that. That said I will keep your solution for future use in case.
