Nighthawk C6300v2 Wifi Unreliable
Hey guys,
Im only mildly technoligically capable, so bear with me.
We just got this nighthawk a few weeks ago, and it's been having a lot of weird issues with our devices as of late. Im not sure if its the ISP or something wrong with the device. I digress.
Its been an evolution of issues over these few weeks. It went from the wifi networks being unfindable for some of our devices but not all of them, to the networks being available but unable to connect to the internet, to only the 5g channel being available, and only occasionally connected to the internet. All the while, the actual tower has green lights across the board, nothing seemed wrong on that end. We just switched over from verizon to xfinity and this new router/modem and are just hoping for some peace and mostly functioning tower. Any advice? How difficult is a factory reset?

Hello, Pheebs,
The modem might need to be updated by the ISP. Regarding the 5ghz frequency. Devices that is not compatible with 5ghz would not be able to see the 5ghz wifi.
