Nightmare Home for wi fi
I have a stone built house, some walls are two feet thick and all walls are solid. Getting wi fi round is difficult. Can anyone help?
Is there a product that will pick up wi fi and transmit the signal via an ethernet cable to a second unit which in turn will transmit wi fi? I have read about mesh systems but I cannot find one which says it can "mix and match" cables and wi fi.

Netgears Orbi supports using a wired and wireless backhaul. I've used both wired and wireless backhaul at the same time.

You can try finding one of those mesh systems or have one router and various wifi access points (any router turned to an access point). You can wire through ethernet to the access point in a different room(s) to have wifi wherever you want.

Thanks for the advice. Do you have any particular equipment/models that you would recommend to give me the best chance of getting wi fi round our difficult home?
