One device does not work
I have an R6400 router. All devices we use (laptops, tablets, phones) work fine on it, with one exception - I have one laptop that when I log in for work I keep getting disconnected. I checked with my employer help desk and they said it is a problem with my router. Is there a setting that would cause this problem, or does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
Hi stvnmattson,
It is possible that you may need to forward ports for the work application in order to maintain a stable connection. We recommend checking with your work helpdesk to check for this information. In the event that you were able to gather the information, you can check the links below on how to forward ports.

Hi stvnmattson,
1. What is the firmware version of the router?
2. Are you connecting the laptop via wired or wireless?
3. If wireless, on which band (2.4GHz or 5GHz)?
4. Is it the connection to the WiFi network that drops or are you using a VPN and that is the one that drops?

Thanks! Yes I am. The firmware version is v1.0.1.24_1.0.18.
I am trying to connect wirelessly. If I use a wired connection, it works just fine.
I am not sure how to determine which band it is using.
I log in for work, so I assume its a VPN. I can connect to work and access email, internet etc, but when I try to fire up my main work application, I lose the connection.
