Password not working to login to wifi extender network after connecting with wps on wn2000rptv2

I got this WiFi range extender (wn2000rptv2) used and it appears to be working as I did connect to the router with the wps instructions. The problem is that when trying to connect to the extender network (network name did change to the appropriate name with ext on the end) is that the password doesn't work. I've moved the extender closer even though it appeared to have a great connection, checked and tried different caps variations of the password. Nothing works! I can't connect via Ethernet at this time as neither of our computers have an Ethernet port. 🤦‍♀️ Help! I'm so frustrated!
