PC Restart Required
I've used this external (USB) adapter without problems since purchased several years ago. In the last six months, however, I've started getting notifications that the PC needs a "restart" to complete installation. The device continues to function 100% in spite of the notifications. I have multiple times reinstalled the adapter from the installation CD to no effect. I am currently running Ver 1.0.0.36 of the Genie software with Realtek driver version 1030.25.701.2017. The desktop is running Windows 10/ 20H2.
The Settings message, Properties/Events log, and Device Manager Event is shown in the attached PDF file.
Obviously not a serious problem, but would like to resolve the issue. Thanks
have you tried a different usb port? maybe the one its on is loosing power and thats whats making the computer think its re-installing the adapter.

Your suggestion appears to be right-on. The adapter was plugged into a 2-port hub with the second port empty. In the two days since I eliminated the hub, I have not seen the message/warning. Mucho Thanks.
