> [...] no where in the user manual does it give directions as to hwo to
> do it, [...]Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want.Normally at that point, you'd read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions. Sadly, the Release Notes file for the latest (V1.0.0.18)
firmware for the PLW1000v2 says only:[...] follow the instructions in your product's user manual. [...]
and "firmware" seems not to be mentioned in the User Manual for
"PowerLINE 1000, 1010 and 1200 Adapters".Interestingly (and perhaps usefully), the Release Notes for the
earliest few firmware versions do include some more useful instructions.

"can't" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.> [...] worked fine before. was thinking maybe i need to update the

> idk what else to do [...]You might try a settings reset on your Powerline gizmos, and then
pretend that they're new.Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for
"Reset". Further reading might not hurt, either.- kbguay123AspirantI already reset it and it did not fix the issue I am having. But, thank you for your reply.
> I already reset it [...]
"it"? What about the other one? You do have two Powerline gizmos,
right?> [...] and it did not fix the issue I am having. [...]
A settings reset is not a magical panacea. "pretend that they're
new" meant to follow the set-up instructions as if they were new. It
did not mean that the gizmos would magically configure themselves. With my weak psychic powers, I still can't see what you did, or what
happened when you did it.
