Problems with DGN2200 and Wireless Speeds ?..
Hello,
I am having problems getting anything like 300Mbps wireless speed with the DGN2200 router. I have the latest firmware (v1.0.0.36)
My wireless settings are:
- Channel: Auto (which uses channel 1)
- Region: Europe (I am in the UK)
- Mode: Up to 300Mbps
- Security WPA2-PSK (AES)
My QOS settings have WMM enabled.
I have two PC's 7-8 meters away, both using WNA3100 adapters on Window 7 and I only get 78Mbps on both of them. I have the latest drivers for the adpaters.
So I decided to test nearer the router with two other PCs (both less than 1 meter away);
- a desktop using WNA3100 adpater and this got 144Mbps
- a laptop with in built wireless N adapter and this got 130Mbps
I would have expected the two PCs so close to the DGN2200 router to be at 300Mbps. It is like the wireless network is limited to 145Mbps which is another mode in the router wireless settings, but I do have it set to "up to 300mbps".
Have I got my router setup right, do I need to change any advanced settings on the WNA3100 adapters or is there a fault with my router?
I have tried other channels and I get weird results:
- Channel 3 - 54 Mpbs
- Channel 6 - 11 Mbps
- Channel 11 - WNA3100 adapters do not see the wireless network and cannto connect.
thanks

hitting 130-144mbps over 2.4ghz is actually outstanding.
Link speeds aren't throughput speeds and 2.4ghz is a slow network. I'm actually impressed if you did hit those speeds.
there's been numerous articles/sites written up about this.
I'd read a bit on Duckware because its highly education about wifi speeds/expectations.

Plain DGN2200[v1], DGN2200v2, DGN2200v3, or DGN2200v4?

"test" _how_, exactly?

say that 150Mb/s in and 150Mb/s out would be counted as 300Mb/s,
