problems with router

I got this router for my house from walmart and it was a little slow so i tried going into the settings but i used the the basic username and password admin and password but it did not work and i looked at other things to use the different password and username and they did not work then i tried the recovery but it gave me security quesions I did not use like i dont even have a brother but i saw that you could press the pin button to reset it then it turned back on i still waited about 30 mins but i came back same results is there a way to fix this
