R6080 Router Connection Issues
Hello,
I'm having trouble connecting some devices to the network. My MacPro, my wife's MacAir, and my iPhone 13 connect just fine. My wife's iphone 13, my daughters XR, and my ipad all say they are connected but will not allow network traffic through. Any thoughts? It's almost like they are blocked at the router level (they aren't I have checked).

- microchip8MasterHave you disabled MAC randomization on these devices?

microchip8 -- I cannot find that setting in the router admin panel. Also, of further note, the only devices that can consistently connect to the network are computers, mobile devices seem to only work on the network when/if they are running a vpn.
It probably isn't related, but I'd look at that router.
How fast is you Internet service? Anything above 100 Mbps and you are wasting money.
According to Netgear's manual for this device, not always the most reliable source of information, the LAN and WAN ports support only 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX. That makes it slower than many newer internet services and most modern network hardware. This may not matter to you, but be warned that it will hobble you if you ever sign up for faster Internet, anything faster than 100 Mbps is a waste of your money.
It also slows down whatever is going on in your local network. Newer devices support at least 1000BASE-TX.Nothing wrong with it being slow, just don't expect too much.

michaelkenward -- Speed, when successfully connected to the internet, seems to be fine. The issue is that half of the devices (mostly mobile devices) will connect to the network but then report that there isn't any internet. I recently discovered that if I turn on a vpn on these devices I can then access the internet.

How about answering the question? What speed do you pay for?
