R6120 factory reset itself and now routerlogin.net keeps wanting to set it up.

My router somehow factory reset itself over night. So I went through the setup process on the nighthawk app and got to where it asked me to log in with my account. After I did, it said it was already registed and sent me back to log in. Well I did register it before.

So I went through that same loop a couple of times and was somehow able to get through to making it work and now my internet is up. I didn't do anthing different it just went through.

Though now when I go to routerlogin.net to check stuff it will take me to the set up page, ask me for an account login and the loop continues again. This happend even in incognito mode so no cookie issues. If I refresh it a bunch and play with the back and forth arrows it will acctually take me to the page I want, but I have to do this every time. Something like "we cant create an account at this time but click try again to continue to installation" and then it will take me to the proper site somehow.

So the router works and Im now on the latest version 1.0.0.80, and Im pretty sure I was on the secod to latest version before it reset itself, but the web interface gets stuck thinking I need to set it up.

Very weird issue. I'm wondering if anyone has seen something like this before?

Yes it does the same on different devices and browers
      • Something might have gotten corrupt in it.

I'd try reinstalling the firmware, then do a factory reset on it. That way if can overwrite the firmware and the factory reset can clear out any settings that might be causing it.
