R6220 - Does NOT support IPv6

Before purchased R6220, I have checked support web site (http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/19308/~/ipv6-compatibility-on-netgear-routers) shows that it does support IPv6 on the latest firmware, but now I got it and I can NOT find any of IPv6 setting in web GUI on the lastest firmware (1.1.0.31).

Is that not 'the latest firmware' or the position of IPv6 setting is different from the other Netgear router so I can not find it?

  • Hi all,

Please update the router to the latest firmware version (1.1.0.50).

  • Hi DexterJB could you please forward me the link to the beta update. Email is deejpapas@hotmail.com

This has all become a bit of a joke. Over a year on since this thread started and netgear still hasnt put up the correct update.
    Thanks.

I just purchased an R6220 today based on the claim of IPv6 support.

On April 25, I will be speaking at the North American IPv6 Summit in Sunnyvale.

I've been on hold for 47:30 against an estimated hold time of 5 minutes in a queue that was allegedly 3 deep for ticket 28323581.

Unless Netgear wants to be named and shamed publicly for this false advertising, I highly recommend that someone from Netgear reach out to me urgently about this matter. Firmware was promised 3Q 2016 and yet here we are 2Q 2017 and still the most current firmware (Router Firmware Version V1.1.0.34_1.0.1) still lacks IPv6 support in the GUI. Given that this was in the documentation in early 2015, this situation is untenable and utterly unacceptable, bordering on fraud.

I fully expect Netgear to resolve this situation promptly with minimum additional effort on my part or I will be using this forum to recruit clients for a class action lawsuit.
