R6220 Router disconnects ALL THE TIME
At least once a day, usually more, I will completely lose internet connection on all devices on my network, whether they are hard-wired or wireless. If I turn my router off, then on again, everything re-connects again until the next time, at which point I have to reset the router yet again.
- Genie says I have the latest firmware (v1.1.0.34)
- I am running Windows 10 on the primary system (Alienware Aurora R5)
- I have upwards of 15 devices connected to this network (computers, phones, tablets, Wii, DVR, printer and a Netgear Wireless extender (WN2500RP)
- It doesn't matter if I am connected hard-wired, or on the 2.4GHz or 5.0GHz band. EVERYTHING disconnects at once.
- I checked for channel interference and Genie says I'm good. My 2.4GHz network is shared with only one other network. My 5.0GHz is the only one on that channel.
- I have brand-new Gigabit Ethernet cables throughout the entire network.
- My Internet modem never loses signal and I get a constant signal from my ISP
- The issue is with my router.
Please help!
Hi Loggia729,
1. What is the model number of your router?
2. Which light is lit red?
3. Have you tried going through the setup procedure? The links below may help out.

Have you checked the event log of the router to see if thing shows up there to track down the problem?

Hi pgordon15,
1. Have you tried doing a factory reset on the router?
2. You can try changing the MTU value. Check the links below for the steps.

3. If the issue persists, you can try re-flashing the firmware then reset and reconfigure the router.
