R6220 symmetrical download upload issue???
R6220
Router Firmware Version
V1.1.0.114_1.0.1
We just got hooked up to a new ISP with nominally 300/300 service. The tech was here and proved we're getting the rated speeds at their modem, when hooked up to his laptop, but when testing at the router LAN port it's more like 300/30. Is there any adjustment I can make to increase the upload speed, or is that a built in "feature"?

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.

I usually take a new ISP, or changed service, as a cue to reset the thing, or at least rerun the Internet setup wizard. That way it forgets any settings inherited from an earlier network.
From reports here, it seems that many ISPs have symmetrical networks with upload speeds a whole lot less than the download. You're doing well with 300/300.
what actual modem/gateway is it connected to?
did you try a factory reset/reinstall of the router?
during the install, leave qos, access controls, traffic monitoring, and parental controls all disabled on that device.that device is the most base model gigabit router netgear offers. The 300mbps is pushing the limits of its capabilities.
