R6250 in WAN bridging mode?

I want to put an R6250 into WAN (not WiFi) bridging mode - is this possible?  I want to be able to do this:
ADSL router LAN port === R6250 WAN port

The ADSL router provides all NAT and DHCP function, including giving the R6250 WAN port its IP address.  As far as my network is concerned the ADSL router and the R6250 are just a "singe router with lots of LAN ports".

I have a old D-Link router that does this perfectly so how do I do this with the R6250?

Thanks.

  • Thanks - just found this myself :-).

    The process is:

    - "Advanced tab"

    • "Advanced Setup"
      • "Wireless AP"
        • "Apply"

You will want to let your downstream router assign the R6250 an IP address.  I used "Reserved/Static DHCP" on y downstream router to ensure that the R6250 always gets the same address assigned.

Can set Static IP for the AP mode as well.

      Enjoy.

Configure AP mode on the router and if you don't want the wifi radios running, just disable them.
