R6300v2 Firmware - cannot log into routerlogin.net

I'm trying to install the firmware upgrade but cannot get logged into http://www.routerlogin.net.

I've tried multiple times/days and different browsers.  Any suggestions? I really want to get the updated firmware loaded.

  • Got it to work - I was connected by ethernet - but not directly off the router. Once I did that, it all worked just fine.

"I cannot" is not a useful problem description.  It does not say what
you did.  It does not say what happened when you did it.  As usual,
showing actual actions with their actual results (error messages, ...)
can be more helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.

Have you tried specifying the router's IP address instead of the
"routerlogin.net" stuff?  Perhaps: "192.168.1.1".  You can often get it
from your computer's IP configuration as the default gateway or router
    address (or some similar description).

No need to be snarky.  Here's the error message when I try to connect at routerlogin.net:

      Unable to connect

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at routerlogin.net.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
