R6300v2 Router not connecting to modem.

Recieved the R6300v2 Router 8/2015 and has worked fine. For some reason came home to the router on but all functions were off, no lights, nothing. Got it back on and it will not connect to the modem. The Ethernet cable is connected to both. Turned it off and on, unplugged everything and rebooted the router. Still not connected.
Should I do a factory reset? Call my internet provider? Why is it suddenly not reading the Ethernet cable?

    1. What is the firmware version of the router?

    2. Does the modem detect the Ethernet connection?

    3. Please try using another Ethernet cable.

    4. Please check if you are able to go online when connected straight to the modem. This is to check if the port on the modem is still working.

  • Should add that the power light is green and the wireless light is blue but that's it.
