R6400 Download performance drops when IPV6 enabled

I have a R6400 router (not v2) that has worked well. When I connect a Windows 10 PC directly to the cable modem I get close to my gigabit plan download speed. When I connect through the router using a Cat 6 ethernet cable and IPV6 disabled, I still get 900+mbps download speed and 40-42mbps upload.

 

When I enable IPV6 on the router, upload stays 40-42mbps but download drops to the 525-400mbps range.

 

Has anyone else experienced this problem, or problems with websites when IPV6 isn't enabled?

    What firmware version do you have on the R6400?

    A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
