R6400 lower-than-expected link speeds

Just got an R6400 for the 5ghz 1300 speeds...upgraded to latest firmware and set it up... everything is running but on my phone and tablet wifi 5ghz link speed doesn't exceed 433mhz...why would that be?
  • Your phone and tablet probably only have a single antenna.  433 Mbps (not MHz) is the maximum link speed achievable with a single antenna using 802.11ac and an 80 MHz channel.

Oh wow. I had no idea. Thought I'd set something up wrong. So I guess I upgraded for nothing....oh well. Thank you for enlightening me!
