R6400 Router login "netgear genie" Password Reset loop bug
1) Netgear needs to provide an easy to find bug report system that does NOT require a recent purchase, stop basing it on warranty, the router has auto-update, but cannot report a bug about it unless it is in warranty [90 days or 1 year hardware] which is absurd [either that or the bug report system is too hard to find].
2) I have used the R6400 for over a decade with few issues, and because of that it is "out of warranty", and in turn I cannot report a bug, or get help with the fact that it suddenly will not go to log in and goes [after a delay] directly into a password reset loop that never goes to log in, and if I were to guess it may have been from a bug in the most recent auto-update considering everything else seems to otherwise work. It still seems to be otherwise functioning normally, but I can no longer access the settings as I cannot get to the login page. I typically access the router settings every couple of months, and after all this time all of a sudden it will not go to the login page even when I clear the cache and manually put in "192.168.1.1", it has a long delay and then goes to the reset password page, of which I successfully do, but it still will not go to log in, it just has the delay and loops back to the reset password page again.
Searching the forum produces no results, and the Netgear site refuses to create a support ticket because it is out of warranty, and I cannot seem to find any viable bug reporting system, so if it is a bug, I have no idea if it will ever be fixed, and if it's not I have no real way of finding out. Since I can no longer access the settings of the router, I may be forced to purchase another router and start over with all the custom settings I have built up over the years, and with the lack of support help I can find, I am seriously considering finding something from another company in hopes of not having to go through this frustration again.

Usually when its in the password reset loop, you're not hitting all the requirements for the new password.
Make sure its 10 characters
1 special character
1 upper case
1 lower case
1 number.
You might have to reset it to get through the process. You did put it correct in that its a decade old. Its considered EOL and not getting any updates
