R6400 Won't broadcast SSID all of a sudden, can't manually type either

Hi all,

Left for work this morning and came home to no wifi.  We have internet fine and all the lights are white on the router but no wifi.  Now I don't know much about this stuff but I know it's not broadcasting.  But I manually typed the network name in, and it's "not in range" as well.  I have reset and unplugged both the modem (SB6180) and the router to no avail.  I just looked in netgear geanie and can't find the SSID broadcasting option, FYI.

I just updated firmware.  What are my options? Please advise.  Thanks for the help.

  • There is a physical button on the router to toggle the Wi-Fi radios.  You may have inadvertently pushed it.  Push it for 2 seconds.  See page 11 in the manual (link).

  • Did you reset your router to factory default, after the firmware update? If you didn't, you should..

      Thanks, I just did.  Nothing.

Matter of fact, I'm getting no lights at all on the 2.4 and 5 ghz buttons.  The power button, the next one, and the ethernet port 1 (hardwire) is the only thing lit white.  Everything else is out still.
