Question

So I got an AC1200 net gear 71 I am having problems hooking it up and getting it on line can any one help please thanks&nbsp;

AC1200 is a speed.&nbsp;
And netgear71 is more than likely just your wireless ssid.&nbsp;
What actual router do you have?&nbsp;
What modem/gateway are you connecting it to?&nbsp;
What actual issue are you running into with getting it online? (details help)

All I know is I went to Staples and the net gear 71 was on sale and says on box AC1200 and when gotten I plugged in and rep helpped me set up then on wi fi for laptop it found net gear 71 and since I got rid of Nexicom I did not use it for months and wi fi opn HP is bad for Cogeco so they said to use my net gear to see what its like: pick of the unit has been attached&nbsp;

could be the r6220/r6230/etc.&nbsp; Look on the label for the router.&nbsp;
It'll have the model number.
what gateway/modem are you connecting the router to?

Boy is that hard to unravel? (Where did HP and Cogeco come from?) So I may have got it wrong. If so, my apologies.

If you have changed your ISP then your network settings will have changed. So get back to the&nbsp;factory settings of your Netgear thingy.
