I fear that your computer has been hijacked. What URL does the browser show when you see that pop up?

Bugger !
I'm not particularly computer savvy, so please bear with me. How do I find the URL of a pop-up (on a mac) ? This is the pop-up :
When the pop-up appears, it is waiting for me to type in the "name" box. I can't drag, copy or do anything with the pop-up except type in my name. If I use the "cancel' button then the pop-up closes and it gives me this message (and I don't know how to get the URL of this either) :
401 Unauthorized

It takes a while for your picture to be approved by the moderators before we can see it. In the meantime, those plugins look ok at first glance.
Can you try to log into your router using another device? Another computer or smartphone, perhaps?
- debjedNov 30, 2016Tutor
I get the same pop-up using a macbook linked to the router by wi-fi.
I think I'm OK from an ipad - the pop-up looks different and there's no mention of ":80"
If I change the password to the router using the ipad, will that block my problem ?
I'm starting to think that the only way I am going to be sure this is behind me is if I buy a new router. Or is the malware on my computer (and laptop) ?
Thanks again for your help - you're being very patient.
PS to anyone following this conversation : let this be a lesson and change the username and password when you first install your router !!
