Remote Management vs Remote Access
Disable remote management
If the box for remote management is not checked, does that confirm that the router cannot be accessed remotely?

Not necessarily. It's talking about legit remote access/management. Malware, Virus type can intrude your router specially when you are using
public hot spot like at an airport.
