Router keeps disconnecting and when I try to login the router information is not mine
Lately my internet has been disconnecting for no reason, check with service provider and they have told me no issues, but haave reset my modem numerous times. Checked my router with netgear genie and I noticed that when it happens another router displays, it also shows my devices connected, but also alot of named devices I don't recognize. When I click router settings it doesn't recognize my password for the router, but when I put in default my neighbors router information displays. My router is an R6400(AC1750) couldnit find in the above list. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi archeanchaos,
Your device/s are most like connected to your neighbors network. Try hard wiring a computer to your router and check the settings on the router UI. Make sure your wireless devices are connected to your own network and not your neighbors. You may find the links below helpful.
