Router power lamp won't stop blinking
Hello,
My router (WNDR4500|N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Routerr|EOL from Netgear) disconnected after a brief outage, but when everything else was restored the router power lamp blinks and it won't connect or appear as anything but "unidentified network" on ethernet and won't show up on wifi. I have tried restarting, power cycling for 30+ minutes, resetting (30 second hold to no effect) and changing the calbes. Nothing works, the power lamp still blinks and it won't connect. What can I do about this? Please help!
You can try recoving it with tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

Hey!
Thank you so much for the response! I am trying this, but the issue is that I cannot get my computer to recognize the network any longer. I can't download or use the routerlogin page to conigure settings. I'm not sure how to proceed from there. Is there something I'm missing?
Or do I not need to have the router recognized at all for this to function. Please let me know
did you watch the video on how to use tftp to recover it?

After a bit of fiddling around I got this to work. Works like a charm now. Thank you!

Excellent news. Was if the TFTP thing that you got to works?
If so, "fiddling around" is a perfect description of most people's experience
