RS6250- what extender can I connect to it w/Ethernet?

I just learned that I can’t connect my WN2500RP range extender to my RS6250 router using Ethernet cabling. (Unsupported). What reliable Netgear extender is recommended that I can hardwire to? I don’t need a high-end solution. Just something basic that will handle 5ghz within a home.

  • Most of Netgears range extenders have an access point mode. That allows them to be hardwird into the router.

the basic extenders and one without ethernet ports can't be though.

What I'd recommend doing is looking through their extenders and filtering them by the specs you want.

When you've choosen one, simply look in its manual and it'll go over putting it in access point mode if it has it.

Or you can use a router as an access point. Again, most of their routers support access point mode.

And then you have a backup router should yours go bad.

Or you could even upgrade your router and use the RS6250 as an access point.

You have a lot of options.
