Unable to use actual Internet speed on a Netgear Router.

- Jan 21, 2018Just because it has Gigabit Ethernet ports doesn't mean that it can forward packets between them at Gigabit rates. My 10 year old PC has a Gigabit port but it can only handle about 600 Mbps.

Thanks for your reply. I planned to get a new AC1900 router soon. But since this router is a gigabit router, shouldn't it handle gigabit LAN connection without the problem? (considering all the features that'll disable hardware acceleration mentioned are disabled)
