Upgrade to V1.0.1.12_1.0.58 broke 2.4Gz
The upgrade to firmware version V1.0.1.12_1.0.58 has halted functionality of the 2.4GHz spectrum on my router. I've rebooted the router, stopped/started 2.4GHz SSID, reset the password for 2.4GHz, manually configured the channel from auto to multiple settings, and rebooted the devices attempting to connect to 2.4GHz. I can see the 2.4GHz SSID being broadcast, however when I attempt to connect I recieve the generic message "Unable to join [SSID] network" after ~15 seconds from entering the password.
This is the same behavior for multiple devices on the 2.4GHz spectrum. The 5.0GHz SSID works just fine for the same devices.
2.4 GHz Settings:
Enable Wireless Isloation: No
Enable SSID Broadcast: Yes
Channel: Auto
Mode: Up to 145mbps
Security Option: WPA2-PSK [AES]
5.0GHz Settings
Enable Wireless Isloation: No
Enable SSID Broadcast: Yes
Channel: 153
Mode: Up to 300mbps
Security Option: WPA2-PSK [AES]
Any idea other than a firmware downgrade?
I found a solution, but this should be logged as a bug for firmware version V1.0.1.12_1.0.58.
The Guest network for the 2.4GHz must be enabled for the non-guest 2.4GHz network to accept connections after upgrading to this version of firmware.
There is no reason why the guest network should be required to be enabled, but funtionally it is required in this version of firmware.
