UPNP no longer works on R6250 firmware V1.0.4.26
UPNP no longer works on my R6250 since I updated to fw V1.0.4.26 last month. I have performed a factory reset and multiple reboots to no avail. Which led me to believe this is a fw issue that disables upnp. Another user here has encountered a similar problem on their Netgear Nighthawk with the latest fw disabling upnp and said Netgear devs are working on the fix. Hopefully Netgear devs are well aware of this problem on the R6250.
Just downgraded to fw 1.0.4.16 and UPNP functions again. Portmapping now lists open ports/ip addresses, did a test on my PS3 and shows upnp available. I can confirm this is an issue with the latest fw and needs to be fixed.

In the meantime, you can see if UPnP will return if you roll back to the previous firmware.

How do I downgrade to the previous firmware?

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads. Under Firmware and Software Downloads, look for "View
Previous Versions". Find the kit(s). Download the kit you want. Read
the "Release Notes" file for instructions.
