USB 3 Won't Recognize ReadyShare Drive

I have an R6400 AC1750 router on firmware V1.0.1.24_1.0.18 that will not recognize my Seagate 4TB BackupPlus Hub (formatted in MacOS Journaled per Netgear's instructions).  If I plug it in USB 2, it pops up right away in the Readyshare settings page, but nothing on USB 3.0.  I have tried restarting the router with the drive plugged in but it does not work.  USB 2.0 is not sufficient for my needs, so the inoperability of the USB 3.0 port is a dealbreaker.  Is there any solution for this problem?  Do I need to do a warranty return?

  • Hi teambayern,

    1. Does the USB 3.0 LED light up when you connect the drive?

    2. Please try using another drive (flash drive) on the USB 3.0 port.

    3. Have you tried using another file format?

    4. Have you tried resetting the router?

    5. Have you tried using another firmware?

    Regards,
