WGR614 Password Recovery
I have a WGR614 Wireless-G Router purchased in 2008 and connected to a Windows 7 laptop and I have a special problem. I was trying to log on via 192.168.1.1 to see its settings but for some reason the Username and Password in my records no longer work and I do not remember if I had ever changed them. I found the page where it describes how to reset MyNETGEARACCOUNT password but my account is still associated with an old email address which also no longer exists. Under these circumstances is there any way to retrieve them other than manually resetting the router which is a big hassle?

You could just factory reset it and start over. Install doesn't take that long.
Might look at upgrading that router at some point too. That thing is ancient

Ancient = first launched in 2003.
Most recent hardware update around 2012.
But that is just the beginning. Anyone still using Windows 7 should not be using it on the Internet. Microsoft abandoned it and gave up on security updates some time ago.
