Wi-Fi extender n300.
I just got Verizon 5g router installed today. My extender would work on a ring camera about 30 ft away. Now it says the internet connection is poor. Do I need a newer extender to reach the camera because of the 5g?

there's a difference between 5ghz and 5g.
What actual verizon router did you buy/add?
did you setup the old extender using wps or using the installation assistant?

What does that mean? Wifi extenders aren't likely to "work on" a camera. Do you mean the camera uses the extender to connect to your network?
Now it says the internet connection is poor.
What says that? The camera? The extender? Something else?
Is the camera saying that because it is trying to talk to the new router rather than the extender?
Have you reconfigured the extender to work with the new router?
What model number is this N300 Wi-Fi extender? All that tells us is that your extender uses an old N300 wifi technology. The good news is that most IoT toys work on 2.4 GHz. They can't see 5 GHz. So, if you can get the extender to work nicely with the router, it should be easy to set up.
