WN3000RP V1 H2

We have an outhouse some distance from our house and I want to site a wifi access point in the outhouse which has mains powerline from the house.  I have been able to get the house router signal to the outhouse via this powerline using two BT Mini Connectors - so I have an ethernet output at the outhouse.  I have an old WN3000RP V1 H2 wifi extender and I wondered if the ethernet socket on this extender would take an input signal from the Mini Connector and use this to provide wifi in the outhouse.  I suspect this ethernet socket on the Netgear wifi extender is for output only when using the extender conventionally to amplify the router wifi output - however, I thought it was worth asking the question before I buy a conventional wifi access point.  Many thanks for any help.

But it wasn't worth looking in the User Manual?

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.  Look for
"Connect a PC to the Extender with an Ethernet Cable".

          /!\ CAUTION:
Do not use Ethernet cable to connect the Extender to a router.
If you do so, the Extender does not work because it is
designed to use only a wireless connection to the router.

The wisdom was all packed into the first part.  Most non-helpless
people can do considerable reading in the time required to post a
question and then wait to have someone else read the documentation to
        him.
