WNDR 4300 loses 2.4GHz Radio daily
I purchased a 4300 router in November of 2013. Soon after purchase I had to reboot the router daily to keep the wireless working. Tech support provided a new firmware update which solved the problem. ...
- Feb 28, 2015The issue was never about the Cable Modem. I fixed the issue by swapping out the Router for someone else's and so far it's been rock solid.
Thanks anyway.

I've been seeing this same issue the past couple weeks, every 2-3 days I have to power cycle to get 2.4 to work again. Anything on 5.0 or plugged directly in works great. I have done a factory reset on it as well.

You also tried the reflash firmware and reset?

I reflashed the firmware, set the CTS/RTS Threshold to 2304 on both the Netgear and my TL-WA850RE range extender. Then I limited the range extender using MAC filters to only respond to my blu-ray player and nothing else. All my problems disappeared. The netgear 2.4Ghz system hasn't gone down in weeks. I'm not sure which of the above (or any of the above) made a difference, but the system is stabel again. I suppose I could change one thing at time until it starts to misbehave, but I don't care that much.
