WNDR3400v2 — N600 Wireless Dual Band Router and Macbook Pro
WNDR3400v2 — N600 Wireless Dual Band Router
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)
Running macOS Big Sur
Trying to connect to the ethernet:
Status: Not Connected
The cable for Thunderbolt Ethernet is connected, but your computer does not have an IP address.
I've tried to download the Genie Desktop for a Mac, but it doesn't work.

How am I supposed to set this up? Yes, it was given to me from someone else. I didn't purchase this. I did do a factory reset with the button on the back.
Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you so much!

There is a separate community set up for General and Legacy routers. The link is here:

If you go to the downloads section at the top of this page and feed in your model number, it will take you to a page where you can download the user's manual and installation guide.
A moderator may move your post.

The download doesn't work or the program/app doesn't work?
Netgear is trying to kill this useful utility, but for the time being you can find it here:

Be warned that the genie installation file is wrapped up in a RAR archive that you have to decompress.
