WNDR3700 no internet connection due to storm

I wasn't able to get it to work. I've pretty much confirmed it's the router however. I tried another router and it works fine with the modem, and I had a friend check my router on his network. It didn't work there either. So I'll have to buy another.
Perhaps it was damaged in the storm that killed the modem. Just very strange that it worked for sometime before stopping, and that it wasn't killed completely like the modem, just perhaps the internet port. Both were plugged into a surge protector as well! Maybe I can get some compensation from the manufacturer. Oh well...

Aug 16, 2016connect a wired pc to modem...... if you can surf then using same pc...... connect router to modem..... and use Wired pc to login to router, go to advanced.....internet setup.....scroll down select use PC MAC Address. Save then reboot router
