WNDR3700 v1 firmware 1.0.16.98NA no LOGIN access
I've had this router for 6yrs and always found uses and solutions for it but this time I'm baffled. Following an ISP change I upgraded the firmware to 1.0.16.98NA as I was having the regular hang issues. I use the 3700 as a wired and wireless AP with a static IP address, lan to lan setup. Since the upgrade reboot, wired directly or not with a fresh reboot ol the laptop and router, I no longer am able to access the login screen and get the usual:

This being an old issue, since everytime I used the 3700 as an AP I would have to reset it to get out of that mode. Reset with a paperclip or hardreset 20/20/20 no longer work.
I changed the adapter settings manually and using the Windows10 diagnostic tools without success. With an Android app called Fing as well as with Netgear Genie app I see the 3700 and it's static IP address. I solved the hang issues by using a Netgear switch prior to the 3700. I works well, 1 week no hang ups!
Any help appreciated!

That router was one of the 1st dual band routers and had several problems. I had two, as for AP they never worked correctly. When I moved last year I junked them and 2 wndr4000.
There was a beta AP mode version. Also the correct way to reset that router is to Hold reset until power led flashes otherwise some settings are not wiped.
