WNDR3700 V1

I have an old WNDR3700 v1 at the latest firmware and its still functions. I need this as a  router in a 2nd home.   Since this is so old, ~10 years. What are the  security issues with using this, what is it missing that compromises security if any.  It  seems to work well and I even added a tplink  extender in AP mode that provides faster Wifi.

Thanks

Hard to tell. It depends a lot on what you do out there in the nasty world of the Internet and the protection that you get from the rest of your network.

You will have issued many firmware updates that set out to block off the ever growing pile of security reports, many of which may never have been seen in the real world.
