wndr3700 won't start up while lan cables plugged in.
Hi people, i have a wndr 3700 for a long time. lately, whenever i wanted to turn it off and back it on, it doesn't start unless i unplug all lan cables and wait for it to boot up. it's very stang...

i think i've done it. i flashed it with ddwrt and now it boots up with every lan connection. so it probably was a software issue or a hardware one but ddwrt can handle or ignore it. i'll try official fw to see if old fw was just tired : )
thanks everyone.

Feb 15, 2016One of the wired devices may be causing it. Try to isolate it.
You could reset the router and or reload FW. That may work or it may be the final nail in the coffin. Be prepared to replace it.

thanks for such a quick answer, searay. i have many wifi routers and ap's, it's not the issue. i just wonder what's going on.
i tried many cables and many devices, nothing has changed. i tried to update fw but it won't let it happen since it doesn't start properly with cables. also i tried tptf to flash it but no luck. she doesn't like cable when booting up.

If you can't load or reload FW from a wired PC to the router which is already powered up and working as you say you're doing it wrong. Either way not worth the time or energy to go any further with it.
Junk It!

well, the thing is, it's working just fine. there's no even slightest glitch. the problem is the rebooting it. i can acces the interface for uploading fw and i can do it but whenever it starts up, something goes wrong when cables are plugged in. it might be an hw problem. i don't know yet. i could jtag it if i was sure it was a firmware issue.
as i mentioned before, i don't need it at all. i just like to fix things. plus it's against this community idea if we tell people to junk it. right? : )
thanks again.
